[Yasmin_discussions] Yasmin Dicussions-artists workng with scientists in extreme environments

Regarding extreme zones of mental states--I recently was listening, with a
very small group of art professionals, to Dr. Oliver Sacks discuss his work
with elderly people who experience reality via hallucinations.. I submitted
my thoughts about exploring differences and/or similarities within artistic
practice and psychotic driven travels. The main difference I perceive
between *Psychotic* and artist *travel*, is that those labeled *psychologically
disturbed*, when inside *cerebral/experientia**l travel* zones, foreboding
fears proliferate re: getting stuck somewhere, unable to find the way back
to commonly understood surroundings, unlike most* Artist travels that trust
return and not usually consumed by this fearful omni-present state**.*

*Just to note: Dr. Sacks also said he believes that many elderly people's
hallucinations are real, existing because of chronic ocular disabilities. *
