Ashkal Alwan is proud to launch 7 new video productions by emerging Lebanese artists as part of Video Works project, 2009. Video Works is an annual production grant established to build a sustained support structure for video productions in Lebanon.

Video Works project 2009 is produced by Ashkal Alwan with the support of the Heinrich Böll Foundation.

Histoire(s) du Cinéma – is a TV series or video essay – by Jean-Luc Godard from 1988 to 1998. The work is divided into four chapters with two parts each, including an extended essay on cinema by means of cinema; a history of the cinema, and history interpreted by the cinema; a homage, a critique and an anecdotal autobiography, illuminated by Jean-Luc Godard's encyclopedic wit.
