Re: [Yasmin_discussions] Synaesthesia discussion

Synaesthia

If I may respond to the interrelationship of technology, music and
environment from a historical context, I would bring up the discussion of
the work of the visionary Cybernetic Artist, Nicolas Schöffer. His seminal
work fused technological innovation with science and music and art. His use
of sound, color and the psychological manipulation of space gave vocabulary
and substance to synaesthesia. I include links to his work and ask if Yasmin
readers could comment on their understanding of Nicolas Schöffer.

Joseph Ingoldsby
Landscape Mosaics

Joseph Ingoldsby's work uses art, science and technology to advocate for
vanishing landscapes and endangered species. Landscape Mosaics looks at the
color, pattern and structure in nature.
A monograph- Vanishing Landscapes-The Atlantic Salt Marsh can be read in MIT
Press Leonardo V 42- 2 2009.
