Re: [Yasmin_announcements] BOTTLED CLOUDS

Dear Yasminers,

In 2001 during my post doc research at MIT I was trying to form a cubic
cloud using CO2 lasers. (Nephele)3 (a cloud to the third power) was the
title of this project directed by the founder of Sky Art Otto Piene and the
ever memorable Steve Benton. After 12 months of research and experiments,
during the Sky Art Conference 2002 in Delphi-Greece, I claim that I resign
of this project cause its realization would need the electrical power of two
towns!
But...
During this research I met with NASA's nanomaterial silica aerogel which it
looks like a piece of sky in your hands. I started to work with this
immateriality and to create my ethereal aerosculptures.
From 2005 I have in my lab a 20 liters supercritical drying reactor (the
biggest in EU) where I make my skysculptures.
My last achievement , I'm pleased to say, is Bottled Skies with a unique and
unrepeatable cloud into each vial.
