In 2009 the history of Brazilian music registers an important event on the
calendar: the 40th anniversary of a piece of electroacoustic music that
marked a critical moment in Latin American political life. The piece is the
electronic composition entitled *Auto-Retrato Sobre Paisaje Porteño*
